Here are alarming facts: countries in Asia show an increase of single women as reported by The Economist magazine and Huffington Post.
In Japan, almost a third of women in their early 30s are unmarried. In Taiwan, more than one-fifth of women in their early 30s are single. In Bangkok, Thailand, 20% of 40-44-year-old women are not married.
This common trend about single women in Asia is really, really alarming. Let me show more facts based on WorldBank's population census. In Japan for instance, its population in 2010 decreased by 0.25% in three years since 2007. Japan's total population in 2010 = 127,770,750; while in 2007 = 127,540,459; a total decrease of 320,291. There is also an indication of stagnant population in South Korea. In 2010, South Korea poses a slight increase of 0.86% in three years. Its population in 2010 = 48,875,000; while in 2007 = 48,456,000; a total increase of 419,000.

In the case of the Philippines, stagnant population poses no concern. In 2010, the Philippines has an increase of 4.94% equivalent to 93,260,798 of its total population. While in 2007, it is just 88,652,631 with a total increase of 4,608,167. However, Filipino women also prefer to stay single nowadays, a strong influence from neighboring countries.
So what do you think? Do you think Asian women remain single so they can focus on their careers or because they want to prolong adolescence?

i think this trend do not only apply to women these days, men also find it hard to marry because of the enormous responsibilities that lies in marriage.
the logical think to do is to get married so you can experience married life. but avoid having children so you have more time to know each other. if compatible then go for a child plan.
life planning is really difficult but sometimes you have to believe also on destiny. if it is your life's destiny, why not.
let's get it on!
let us not forget that love has its own place in our hearts at the right time, i hope those old singles out there will find their true love and marry soon. good luck to those singles out there.
why do asian women are like that? maybe they love money more than men.:)
it's better to settle for marriage first then plan life with your partner.
it is also good to enjoy single life. just enjoy life and forget married life^^
